Volunteer Opportunities at Florida Outreach Center for the Blind

The Florida Outreach Center for the Blind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that depends on the generosity of volunteers. As our enrollment continues to increase, we are always seeking additional helpers to assist with
our clients' ever-growing needs. If you or someone you know, could help, please

The Florida Outreach Center for the Blind has a number of productive and rewarding volunteer opportunities available:
Member of our Board of Directors. We are always looking for new enterprising individuals who can spend their time and efforts in our continuing quest to raise awareness of our mission and the much needed funds to support it.
Member of one of our committees. You will work with management and the board on fundraising, event planning, public relations and in other areas related to strengthening our organization.
Clerical/Data Processor. We need competent persons with computer and secretarial skills to help us with tasks like filing, research and data entry.
Facility Maintenance. You would assist our staff with maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students.
Grant Writer. The Center needs persons with experience in grant writing to help us locate and obtain funding for operating our worthy programs.
Newsletter Editor. You would work with our Executive Director in publishing a quarterly newsletter that would keep visually-impaired individuals and other interested persons informed about issues and technology concerning the blind.
